Travelling with oxygen can be a frustrating and daunting experience. In 2003, Travel Agent Pam Mackenzie and Celeste Belyea, RN, RRT, Editor of The Pulmonary Paper joined together to provide cruises for people on supplementary oxygen. Our cruises are escorted by Respiratory Therapists. Pam has moved on and Holly Marocchi has taken her place. (Holly & Celeste can be seen below on some of their cruises).

We have 4-5 cruises per year and will also add land tours to our schedule. Our cruises may take you to the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Panama Canal, Pacific Coast and Hawaii. Land tours may include the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, a Northwest train excursion, Florida, and city tours. We welcome your suggestions!

Once you book space with us, our Respiratory Therapists will give you a call to discuss your oxygen and equipment needs. They will then arrange to have all you need at the point of departure. If you are flying to the port we will arrange your flight and your oxygen needs during your flight. We meet you at your gate in the port city with oxygen and transfer you to the hotel or ship. Usually our Seapuffers like to arrive a day early and stay overnight in the port city to be relaxed for their first day aboard the ship. We then transfer everything to the ship, and at the end of the cruise to the airport.

Many of our cruisers enjoy travelling with friends and family. That is great! They can enjoy the same group fare as our Seapuffers. Cabin assignments can be arranged so that they have connecting doors or are near each other. There are also accessible cabins with wider doorways for wheelchairs and  scooters; showers without a step and shower chairs. Beds can be in a king or 2 twin arrangements. There are cabins in which 3-4 people can stay.

During our cruises we try to have group gatherings several times. At these informal meetings we discuss hobbies, family, caregivers, and coping with special needs among other topics. Our Respiratory Therapists keep a close watch on your oxygen saturation levels and hold seminars about new developments and ideas. There are usually many handouts from our RTs as well.

Our goal is to have you enjoy a relaxing cruise to interesting ports while meeting new people and exchanging your knowledge with others in the group while learning from other cruisers and the RTs. We want you to be able to do this without the hassle of worrying about your oxygen and equipment arrangements. Often, your insurance will cover the expense of the oxygen and equipment. We do not charge you to make the arrangements, you or your insurance company pay the provider directly.

We welcome your call with any questions.
